JOB SUMMARY:
IMG College, a business unit of IMG Worldwide, is the leader in collegiate marketing, licensing and media rights. The IMG College Associate Regional Vice President (ARVP) will generate sales and provide sales leadership for the company’s partner universities and conferences in a specified regional area. The ARVP will manage, direct and work closely with the General Managers in their assigned portfolio of properties to conceptualize and execute sales and sponsorship programs that delivers revenue targets and maximizes profit margins.
The ARVP will be tasked with building new inventory at each property, creating sales programs that go beyond traditional packages. In addition to guidance and thought leadership to the GM’s in the assigned region, the ARVP will partner with Regional and National Sales in order to formulate the most effective sales campaigns in relation to the unique attributes of the region. Programs should provide clients with comprehensive marketing solutions that incorporate all property assets, including intellectual property, experiential, digital, multimedia, on-site, ticketing, hospitality and suites offerings. The ARVP must have experience dealing with C-level executives, including Chief Marketing Officers at Fortune 500 companies. The ARVP should also understand the digital evolution of the sport industry and remain on the cutting edge of multi-platform offerings.
The ARVP must be able to develop deep, collaborative relationships with key officials at all university athletic departments and conferences in the region. Interaction with critical senior college representatives will be frequent and often via in-person meetings and events. In addition to being a particularly apt negotiator, the ARVP must manage all high-level contractual issues, including rights management and the legal and financial implications of the key deals.
The ARVP position will manage revenue in the range of $10-$30M and be responsible for the management of GM level personnel.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent work background). Studies in sports management would be desirable. A Masters in Sports Management would be a plus.
• A minimum of 10 years of sales experience in the sports field, with at least 5 of those years in sales management. A demonstrated track record of outstanding sales achievement (both in growth and profit) is essential.
• Exceptional sales skills and proven ability to pitch and close deals up to and beyond seven figures.

The IMG College GM will provide sales leadership for a specified university sports program. The GM will work closely with the Account Managers at each property to conceptualize and execute on sales and sponsorship programs that maximize profit margins and revenue targets.
