II. Position Summary: 

Art + Commerce is seeking a Business Manager to plan and organize operational activities within Art + Commerce. Candidates will be responsible for the performance of company's functions such as:  Creative Strategy, Business Planning/New Business Development (working closely with Controller), Team Growth and Project Management.

III. Essential Functions:   

The successful candidate will be extremely well-organized, thrive on multi-tasking and enjoy tackling a variety of projects large and small, including the following:

  • Plan and manage organization operations by directing and coordinating activities consistent with company values, objectives, and policies
  • Work with management and controller on business strategy and planning; determine ways to enhance and expand the business.
  • Take active role in building and managing company-wide customer relationship management (CRM) tool.  
  • In close collaboration with IMG’s HR department, ensure appropriate staffing and employee adherence to company programs and policies.  Play an active role in talent acquisition and training.
  • Implement improved processes to streamline workflow for A+C agents and clients.
  • Ensure A+C productions are appropriately staffed and delivered within time and budget constraints. 
  • Manage and support creative and digital employees
  • Oversee and manage office policies and procedures

V.  Minimum Qualifications:  

  • 8+ years experience in related fields
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess the ability to motivate and maintain effective working relationships with staff and management
  • Ability to successfully work to reach company goals in an environment in which a wide degree of creativity and latitude is required
  • Prior experience demonstrating effective management and leadership skills
  • Excellent public presentation and interaction skills
  • Knowledge of financial management and planning
  • General knowledge of and passion for fashion and beauty industries
  • Able to think creatively and strategically to successfully mediate and negotiate with individuals and groups
  • Strong management skills (balance competing priorities, complex situations, and tight deadlines)

Art + Commerce is looking for a producer to support a photographer’s agent. The candidate’s primary objective is to oversee all production once a job is awarded. The candidate will work closely with the agent, freelance producers, accounting department and studio managers to assist in successful completion of projects. This position requires a calm, strong, intelligent, intuitive personality. This person must be able to maintain a positive attitude, respond efficiently to requests, and communicate with people politely and effectively at all different levels. This position allows for the producer to work with a collaborative team, interacting with exceptional photographers, while obtaining an insider’s view of commercial photography at the highest level.

·        Creating call sheets + production books as needed

·        Maintaining and organizing calendars and schedules for jobs and meetings

·        Optioning stylists, hair, makeup, set designers and studios 

·        Optioning DPs and film crew

·        Manage the booking of artist travel, hotel + additional needs

·        Supervise advance invoicing and final billing for closed jobs 

Salary commensurate with experience

PRODn at Art + Commerce is looking for an experienced producer to join their production team. The PRODn group produces for some of the greatest photographers and directors in contemporary image making. The candidate must have proven past relationships with successful working artists as well as solid contacts and relationships in the US.

Qualifications

A minimum of 4 years of experience in fashion production (print + film preferred)

Proven experience managing teams and personnel

Fashion: Artist Management
Portfolio Editor, The Wall Group (All Locations) - The Wall Group (New York, NY)

The Portfolio Editor is responsible for maintaining and updating all artist portfolios and promotional materials. The Portfolio Editor works closely with the Portfolio & Digital Media Manager to preserve the creative vision of The Wall Group through all aspects of imaging, including, but not limited to the following: the website, online/digital portfolios, and physical portfolios.

Major Responsibilities

1)      Review all new work (i.e. editorial, advertising, runway, red carpet and reel) on a weekly basis.

2)      Hold weekly artist image review meetings with Agents. Select images to update artists’ digital portfolios accordingly. Execute updates on the website via FTP.

3)      Manage incoming special inquiries from artists and agents. Create supplemental PDFs and links for custom portfolio based requests.

4)      Meet with artists to review portfolios and edit according to feedback received.

5)      Responsible for the following regarding all new incoming artists:

  • Collaborate with the Archive team to ensure all new artists’ pertinent images are received.
  • Review and edit archive of images based on feedback from artist’s Agent.
  • Create artists’ portfolios with Portfolio & Digital Media Manager to ensure each portfolio is “on-brand” and reflects artist’s goals.

6)      Update few remaining  physical portfolios as needed in coordination with agents and the Digital Archivist.

Qualifications

  • Fashion Photography/Art Background
  • Image editing experience 3-5 years
  • Fashion Portfolio editing experience 3-5 years
  • Adobe Creative Suite experience with strong emphasis on Photoshop and Bridge
  • DAM experience
  • A strong fashion editorial eye and understanding of all major fashion magazines
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and time management skills
