Position Summary: Responsible for all aspects of training and coaching student-athletes.
Position Responsibilities:
Prepares and delivers a tennis training program for all student-athletes.
Assesses the skill development of each student-athlete, and partners with school staff and performance coaches to ensure their ongoing comprehensive development.
Assists with the psychological preparation of the student-athlete in both pre-match and post-match.
Develops motivational approach to practice and matches.
Works to develop comprehensive knowledge of tennis in decision-making, handling authority and setting and meeting objectives.
Interacts with the student-athlete as a mentor and as an educator of the sport.
Partners with the student-athlete’s parent/guardian regarding their overall development.
Effectively communicates to student-athletes and their parents/guardians.
Assures that proper safety is maintained.
Assists in the college placement of the student-athlete.
Travels to tournaments and other events as needed.
Assists in the recruiting of prospective student-athletes.
Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Ability:
Experience in coaching and/or playing tennis.
Proficiency in all tennis training and instructional techniques.
Strong commitment to student-athletes and their development.
Desire to work collaboratively with colleagues.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

CPR Certification
USPTA certification
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Ability to lift, move, push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40 lbs.
Ability to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time.

Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays.

Assist in the on court execution of summer basketball programs offered at IMG Academy
Lead workouts, drills, and/or stations within the scope and pedagogy of the basketball program
Assess the performance and skill development of each Student-Athlete and make the necessary suggestions for improvement
Build rapport with athletes that enhances and maximizes the experience at IMG Academy.
Draft and complete performance evaluations for camp athletes
Serve as a positive mentor to players and foster growth and development
Assure proper safety is maintained during all practices and games

Knowledge, Skills and Ability
Experience coaching and/or playing basketball

Job Title: Summer Associate Tennis Coach
FLSA Status: Non Exempt
Department: Tennis
Position Summary: The summer associate tennis coach will be responsible for assisting and delivering the IMG Academy Bollettieri tennis summer camp program.
Position Responsibilities:
Reports to the Business Unit Manager.
Follows IMG Academies, and junior tennis department policies and procedures.
Shows up on time and prepared to work. Schedule may vary from week to week.
Accurately signs in and out of the ADP Time Management System.
Wears approved staff clothing while on duty.
Attends all required staff meetings.
Attends structured meetings to reinforce proper communication among company employees.
Follows the Summer Coach Private Lesson Policy.
Follows the structured tennis training program for the assigned group of student/athletes.
Reports any placement and scheduling discrepancies to the Head Tennis Coach.
Stays educated on the current techniques and teaching methods, as directed by the Head Tennis Coaches.
Interacts directly with the student as an educator of the sport and as a mentor.
Maintains a professional relationship with students at all times.
Keeps interactions with parents and students to a minimum outside program hours.
Communicates consistently with the Head Tennis Coach regarding player development.
Assists with maintaining the cleanliness of the facility and equipment.
Refrains from using a cell phone during work hours.
Performs any extra duties required by the Director of Tennis and the Business Unit Manager.
Adhering to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes
